The Kilmacolm Community Council speaks for everyone in both Kilmacolm and Quarriers Village. We are not party political but put forward the community’s views on a wide variety of local issues to a range of public authorities. These issues cover all sorts of local matters and can include, for example, potholes in the roads, new planning applications, arrangements for bin collections, requests for a licence to sell alcohol, and plenty of others. The Community Council is a statutory body. The law requires the Community Council to be consulted on some of these matters, so the public authorities give a lot of weight to what we say.

Members of the Kilmacolm Community Council were elected in October 2015 and in November 2106 Jessica Curry was appointed as an Associate Member.

We are pleased to welcome residents of Kilmacolm and Quarriers Village to our monthly meetings and to give members of the community an opportunity to speak about their concerns. We know it is important that the views we put forward reflect the views of the community. Our meetings at the Kilmacolm Community Centre start at 7.30 pm on the last Tuesday of every month except for December and July when we take a break.

Our Constitution, Standing Orders and the ‘Scheme ‘governs the way we operate.  Click here to view Governance
