The Kilmacolm Institute, Lochwinnoch Road, Kilmacolm PA13 4HA   

A planning application 13/0379/IC has been submitted for the Demolition and clearance of existing vacant redundant community building and shops and erection of a new building comprising two ground floor retail units, thirteen residential apartments above and ten ancillary basement car parking spaces.  This is a very important application for the village as the site is so prominent.  A special meeting of the Kilmacolm Community Council will be held on Tuesday 4 February to consider this application and the members of the community are encouraged to attend.

Inverclyde Wind Farm

At the 27 August 2013 meeting of the Kilmacolm Community Council it was unanimously agreed to oppose the 2020 Renewables Limited planning application for the erection of ten wind turbines on land east of Corlic Hill. 

Inverclyde Wind Farm

2020 Renewables Limited has submitted their planning application to Inverclyde Council – Planning Application Reference: 13/0199/IC.  They are seeking permission for a ten turbine wind farm on land south of Greenock.  The proposed site lies to the west of the B788 Kilmacolm to Greenock ‘Old’ Road on the side of Corlic Hill.  Full details of the planning application and reports are available to view in the Kilmacolm Library.  If you have any views or comments to make on this proposal you have until the 9 August 2013 to lodge them on the Inverclyde Council Website – go to http://planning.inverclyde.gov.uk/Online/centralDistribution.do?action=dispatch&caseType=Application&caseNo=13/0199/IC and click on Comments.  It would also be useful if you mail your views and comments to info@kilmacolmcc.co.uk. The Kilmacolm Community Council will discuss the application and formulate their response at their 27 August 2013 meeting to which the members of the community are invited.

Inverclyde Local Development Plan: Proposed Plan 2013

The proposed Inverclyde Local Development Plan was approved by the Inverclyde Council Environment & Regeneration Committee on 2 May 2013 following extensive consultation and representations.  The public consultation on the proposed plan ends on 26 July 2013.    All the relevant documentation may be viewed at Kilmacolm Library or on the Inverclyde Council website www.inverclyde.gov.uk.  View the Proposed Local Development Plan and Action Programme  here.  If you have any comments on the proposed Local Development please let them be known to the Kilmacolm Community Council – info@kilmacolmcc.co.uk – and also submit them to Inverclyde Council using their response form or comments facility both available online.

The Kilmacolm Community Council objected to the planning application for the erection of a permanent 70 metre meteorological mast in the vicinty of Corlic Hill
